Yeah, “assault weapon” would be any weapon used in an assault; could be the candlestick used by Col Mustard in the dining room, and nobody has to be dead, or even hit with it. Specious term.
And we again throw machine gun owners under the bus. After all this arguing, I see no luck of us ever eliminating at least the hughes amendment.
