This video of freshly eyebrow-waxed-with-enough-tv-make-up-to-make-the-eyebrow-wax obvious Ben Shapiro schooling Piers Morgan is telling. If you watch it, it’s clear that even Morgan doesn’t believe the shit he’s shoveling. He’s disinterested in his own argument, his eyes are lazy and not in the fight, and he’s trying to appear strong even though he is weak. I’m a poker player and I’d move all in against Morgan were this a poker game.
The key exchange for me is this:
Morgan: One of the great right wing presidents of our time agreed with me.
Shapiro: So?
Good. Reagan was a lot of things in peoples’ imaginations but not the right wing God folks hold him out to be. I mean, next thing you know, good ol’ conservatives are going to me saying some gun control is good. Like Shapiro.
Maybe.
Supposedly, he says:
“You put more guns on the street expect more shootings,” McCarthy said. “I don’t care if they’re licensed legal firearms, people who are not highly trained… putting guns in their hands is a recipe for disaster. So I’ll train our officers that there is a concealed carry law, but when somebody turns with a firearm in their hand the officer does not have an obligation to wait to get shot to return fire and we’re going to have tragedies as a result of that. I’m telling you right up front.”
McCarthy would not say what specific training officers will undertake if any.
It’s the “blood in the street” argument, only with a police will instigate it twist. Mind you, I can’t find a a source for this bit other than blogs so take it with a grain of salt.
The Second Amendment Foundation today challenged the nation’s leading opponents of gun ownership to “lead by example” and give up their own firearms and armed security before expecting the citizens, for whom they work, to surrender their ability to defend themselves.
Put your money where your mouth is.
Tam: The Honey Boo Boo of the firearms industry.
He’s pretty much come out as the stereotype that our opponents claim that we are. He did a lot of damage.
It pays to be David Gregory, who is not going to jail for violating DC’s gun laws. So much for his defense fund. And the good thing about this is that gun control just lost. It’s an admission that the law is mostly pointless.
Except, you know, when they do. In this go ’round of a proposed ban, they ban the KSG shotgun and the mini 14s.
1600-Lumen LED Convex Lens Zoom Flashlight for $40. Seen at Instapundit.
I also got my Lifegear four pack of flashlights in. Let me tell you, a 700 lumen strobe in the back yard is impressive. More later.
Except when we are. Joan Peterson is a few fries short of a happy meal. Or a liar.
4 questions. Because, you know, criminals will make sure to get a background check.

Here’s a list of people the White House met with. Vote with your dollars and let those people know what you think.
Yesterday was nothing more than a dog and pony show. They checked the box, yep, we met with the NRA. They had no interest in hearing what we had to say.
NSSF says they were told there would be no media but what’s with all the video?
The executive order options are limited. The one I think is coming is banning all imports of magazines and semi-autos.
Irvin Nathan, the attorney general for the District of Columbia, announced Friday that he will not press charges against NBC News’ David Gregory nor any employee of the broadcast network for violating the city’s gun laws. Violation of the city’s firearms laws carry a maximum $1,000 fine and one year in jail.
Mr. Nathan wrote to an attorney representing Mr. Gregory and NBC News, Lee Levine of Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz, LLP, that, “OAG has made this determination, despite the clarity of the violation of this important law, because under all of the circumstances here a prosecution would not promote public safety in the District of Columbia nor serve the best interests of the people of the District to whom this office owes its trust.”
It’s obviously important if important people can violate it with no consequence. Like you and me, only better.
James Yeager got his toter’s permit yanked for saying dumb shit on the internet.
James has caught flack for challenging people to duels, putting photographers down range and other stuff I can’t remember.
The White House won’t meet with the Second Amendment Foundation. Well, I guess it is tough to meet the group kicking anti-gun ass in the courts in person.
Because you’re not important like me: Obama signs bill giving himself lifetime Secret Service protection
There’s this place that has all the gun control pipe dreams that the Obama administration is pushing. It bans the most popular rifle in the country, magazines that hold more than some arbitrary number of rounds, and rarely issues permits. And the list goes on. It’s called California and it ranks number one on the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership’s scorecards. Oddly, there was a school shooting there today. That can’t happen since they have all that gun control.
So, I have this S&W M&P9 that I carry basically everyday, everywhere. It stays in the holster unless I go to the range. I don’t pull it out and fiddle with it to make sure it’s loaded or anything because it always is. Well, unless I go to the range. Anyway, I get home today and remove the holster and noticed a bit of debris on the holster. So I inspected it and removed the gun. Look at all that dust:
Seriously, all in the trigger and up and down the frame and slide. I should probably wipe it with a cloth regularly. That’s just unsightly.
Predator is posting responses people receive from their congresscritters when contacted about gun laws.
I don’t support proposals requiring people to arm themselves, though that idea is at the heart of the militia. But a Utah town toned it down and voted to recommend you arm yourself.
