Biden gets it exactly wrong
He tells the Democrats not to fear losing elections and to push for gun control, citing it’s not 1994. The fact is, you guys misrepresented your position in 1994 and that was found out even to the extent the House voted to repeal the law.

I hope creepy uncle Joe has small feet; he seems to want to cram them both in his mouth. Or was he just drunk again?

Drunk? Nope, senile-yes. Stupid, definitely. Liar-foregone conclusion since he is a politician.

Yeah, but I think there were some FORMER RINO Congress Critters who helped pass the Clinton Regimes Anti-Gun Laws also. And Bush the Younger could have repealed all the Anti-Gun Executive Orders that his Predecessors (including Daddy’s) issued on his FIRST Day in Office. But they were still there on his LAST day. And he never pushed for the Magazine Ban and the AWB to be Terminated early, either.
So placing one’s Faith in the RKBA in the hands of Politicians to “handle it” is a Foolish Notion.

I’m guessing the truth is far too close to what B. Les said above. I don’t think the ‘D’s really care anymore; they have figured out how to game the system to get the votes they need to stay in office, as has the party of ‘R’. Neither group really cares about the RKBA crowd, but they both benefit from riling us up every so often. They do the same with the religious folks, the ‘bortion folks, the welfare folks, the ‘minority’ folks (whatever that means), the LBGT folks…you name it. I don’t think that they really have a ‘base’ for either party anymore, as they approach each election with a slightly different twist and go after the votes in very specific, targetted ways.
If you get a chance, read “The Victory Lab” by Sasha Issenberg. It will curl your hair & stunt your growth to see what the ‘parties’ do now to get votes, and it is all very precise and planned. The politicians nowadays target specific neighborhoods differently; they don’t want to worry about a nationwide group anymore since they can either utilize or marginalize it at the local level and pretty much ignore it at the national level.
Or so it seems. Maybe, just maybe, this time it will be different.

The only way to keep politicians from taking your rights away is to make it clear you will do everything to remove them from office if they do. And that’s a toss up for many politicians.
The smaller the election is the harder it is for Rove and Axelrod to target key districts as AncientWoodsman spoke of above.
