So, did he pass?
A Utah parole officer shot his own leg by accident during a gun exam.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the veteran officer was hospitalized Monday after pulling the trigger at Utah’s police academy. No one else was injured.
Keep your finger off the trigger, especially when when holstering.

Question for your readers: Do guns that only have a trigger safety have more inadvertent discharges during holstering than guns with manual safeties?
After almost getting shirt-tails snagged in my trigger guard a couple times while holstering, I stopped keeping a round in the chamber of my pistol. Am I being too paranoid, or is it actually a danger?

I have yet to have ND/AD/ID with either a Glock or M&P w/o manual safety during the holstering process or otherwise.
I highly doubt that you would have one while holstering and you are going to kill your “into the fight” speed w/o a round in the chamber.

Why haven’t we tried blaming his holster choice yet?
