I’m pretty sure he was shooting at the tangled antlers. It sounded as if he had multiple hits (at one point needed “just one more”). The antlers were attached to the deer, and were probably moving. I doubt if I could have done better, and probably wouldn’t have the confidence to try.
Hank: If that’s the case then I was greatly mistaken, but considering how poor my internet streaming service is here in rural America (it took over 10 minutes to load this sequence) it’s no surprise I missed that aspect of this.
No Worries Frank, I had to watch it twice to figure out what was going on myself. That’s when I noticed him saying (something like) “It’s not breaking” and “just one more”. No Apology required.

Well .. it saved one deer.
Best of a bad lot of choices. I would have used a 12 slug, rather than a pistol.

NVM, he was shooting at antlers.
It was a damned good shot.

As far as that Glock equipped cop is concerned its a good thing that Buck wasn’t armed or he would be dead meat.
Yeah, his first shot put the buck down, but he didn’t stay there and if he had had a gun my guess that cop would have had holes in him.
Don’t know what the caliber was, but it obviously wasn’t big enough and that deer was about the size as an average size man, so……
Think about it!…
