I find it more than a little strange that a newspaper editor hasn’t paid more attention to what happened in New York, a much more liberal location than rural North Carolina.
When the local gun owners in New York reacted, why wasn’t EVERY paper in the country paying attention? It wasn’t as if it wasn’t covered, even by the MSM, who appeared fascinated that the rednecks would get so upset!
Heck, there were multiple articles in the New York Times!
The publishers statement “I want to apologize to everyone we unintentionally upset with our public records request for a list of those who have or have applied for a concealed carry permit. We had no idea the the reaction it would cause.” shows just how out of touch media is, even in rural areas!
