Money talks

The democrat dilemma on guns.

Votes count too, and you’ll be getting fewer.

In the mail

Bug A Salt sent me a Bug A Salt:

And I am bugless

And I am bugless

Being February and all, the number of bugs to shoot is about zero. When I get some bugs, I’ll let you know how it does.

Second Amendment Rally

In The City (My The City).

Here’s their facebook page. I may show up.

Win gun stuff

Right here

Same planet, different worlds

they honestly believe gun owners are ashamed at being gun owners.

Yeah, they don’t get it. Why anyone would think it’s a thing to be ashamed of puzzles me.

Speaking of lists, A New York appellate court has ruled that the New York Times’s request for a list of gun owners in New York City, under the Freedom of Information Law, violates the state’s statute. Yay, right to abortion err privacy.

Chicken, egg

More gun control, more crime.

I think the correlation is more that if there is more crime, they pass stupid and pointless gun controls. Regardless, gun control doesn’t make crime go down.

Obviously, compensating

for the size of your penis. Hey, if I could shoot my penis at 1,300 FPS and use it to incapacitate a bad guy, I wouldn’t need a gun!

Limiting to 7 rounds

It’s still not enough:

Well, who else would or could?

Majority Says the Federal Government Threatens Their Personal Rights.

It’s kind of silly since government in general is pretty much the only threat to civil liberties. But, I guess, more people are realizing that.

Rand Paul for president

Someone thinks he’s running. I hope so. And, by the way, he’s not his father. For instance, this is why I like him:

Obama Skeet Shooting Action Figure

Well, OK then

Southern Poverty Law Center Aiding Terrorists

Seems a mass killer used one of their maps of people they don’t like to identify anti-gay rights person to kill.

Call your Representatives

Sebastian reads the tea leaves and doesn’t like what he sees. Seems the NRA’s language is one where the fight isn’t going that well. So, call them.

Personally, I think we’ll see a push for the universal background checks and those may see the light of day. And, perhaps, a magazine capacity limit will too. Everything else, not so much. But we need to make our voices heard on all these issues.

Especially since the house Republicans may go wobbly on gun control. Sounds like a good way to lose elections to me.

Weapons used in Newtown

The state police release what we already know. I note that they specifically say the AR-15 is “high capacity”, which it’s not. Like the handguns, it holds more than ten rounds and was designed to. It’s regular capacity.

The difference

Shooting 1,000 rounds through a 1911 is a big deal. Shooting 1,000 rounds through a Glock is a day at the range.

A right delayed

Is a right denied:

Residents of Onondaga County who want a pistol permit will have to wait a year and a half or more before it’s approved, due to a shortage of personnel and an increased demand for firearms.

Crimes against the king are more serious

Ken on the harshness of minor crimes having harsh sentences.

We were just talking about this.

Cool idea

NRA creating a 3-Gun focus on .22s and AirSoft for your local clubs and ranges. Indoor 3 gun for the win!

Corker on guns

Don’t assume you’re safe. I’ve seen his canned letter a few times. It’s nothing earth-shatteringly in support of gun rights but it’s definitely not anti-gun either.

Regardless, contact your legislators now.

Update: More here.

You can have my raisins

When you pry them from my cold dead hands

What they want

You in jail, for being a gun owner. More details on the incident here.

Is there anything they can’t do?

The Rear-end Jesse Jackson says “assault weapons” can shoot down planes and blow up railroads. No, really.

Obama has a peace prize

DOJ rules on when it’s OK to kill Americans. Water-boarding, no. Killing them with aerial drones, yes.

An armed society

When interviewing in Texas, Piers Morgan is less assholey.

Mass debunkings

Registration leads to confiscation

In Cali, they can confiscate guns from felons and the mentally ill. It’s easy to do with their registry and all. Only, they haven’t been doing it because enforcing laws costs money. Passing new ones to not enforce is free.
