TSA to allow knives on plans
As long as they meet arbitrary restrictions, which ensures they’re not assault knives. I go from no knives to having to get out a ruler and measuring them to make sure.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

You could always just compare them to an anti-gunner’s penis. The specs are about the same.

What about shampoo or sealed drinks?

Since Jim Bowie was patriot, I am sure the TSA would not mind if you brought a Bowie knife on the plane.

I own a lot of knives, but I don’t think any of them meet the TSA restrictions. No molded handles? No locking blades?

I own a lot of “pocket” knives. Not a single one of them is short enough for their criteria and I think of some of them as being “small”. They’re talking “tiny”. Also, every single one of them has a locking blade; they appear to believe safety features shouldn’t be allowed.

No baseball bats but a pool cue or lacrosse stick is ok? Pool cues, you know, the stick with a metal weight in the end? WTF are they thinking?!?

They used a mm measurement then converted it not to eighths or sixteenths, which normal rulers actually measure, but tenths.
It’s not even an even inch measurement; it’s about 9/32’s. 2-3/8″ is over, 2-1/4″ is just under.

Matthew, think metric. It’s just short of 60 mm long by a half an inch. It’s the TSA so it makes total sense.
Actually I think the length mirrors a euroland restriction already in place.
