In NJ
Post a pic of your kid holding a gun, the cops show up and threaten you. If I was in Hell err New Jersey, I’d be on death row by now.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Any question as to why I fled the Peoples Republik of New Jersistan 13 years ago for the warm sun of the Gunshine state?

It disgusts me to read such articles where state agencies attempt to abuse their supposed authority and try and deceive people into giving up their rights.
While the guy was on the ball by having his lawyer on speed dial, he apparently failed to train his wife on how to handle such situations.
“Do you have a search warrant?”
“I do not consent to searches.”
Close and lock the door, then call your lawyer.

I agree with the above sentiments – NJ sucks.
I live here and my son shoots, but I would never, ever, post something like that on the internet. Have some situation awareness.

The report I read said the police were professional. It was the DYFS lady who was eager to conduct illegal searches, including verifying the firearms registrations. Not sure how registration if it had been required would have been in a social worker’s jurisdiction?
But it does highlight one issue those lamenting the reduction in the number of children being born. If you have children, you surrender a fair amount of your constitutional liberties and constant harassment by child services based on the flimsiest accusations by state bureaucrats.
