I have run into this same paradox on other social websites, where I point out that 65 MILLION NICS checks have been performed since Obama was inaugurated, and the estimate is that that is only 60% of gun sales, with the other 40% private person to person sales.
I have more than one firearm, and so I am sure do many of you, but can only 1/4 of the adult US population own 300 MILLION firearms, as polls suggest?

Mikee, it might be possible but it’s highly unlikely that twenty five percent of the US population owns all the guns.
A lot of people who have bought guns after the first inauguration of Obama are people who either owned no guns prior or didn’t have any of those type guns (Fudds) based on my experience and the anecdotes of those I know.
