Scholastic Pistol Program
The Blount County Board of Education has approved a scholastic pistol program.
During Thursday’s meeting, school board members created the program for students. The program, which is sponsored by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation, is available to students between the ages of 12 years old and 18 years old.
Also, Glock, Smith & Wesson and Tactical Solutions, are offering “deep discounts”.
Cool.

Groovy!
Too bad the educators can’t borrow one good thing from Cold War Eastern Europe: Full-auto and crew served weapons training. (pretty much every Warsaw Pact survivor my age and older got that in high school)

The Blount County Sheriff’s range is just across the highway from the school. They should try to use that range as much as possible. My agency uses it.

The classes need to be mandatory.
If the parents are conscientious objectors, the child can sit in study hall for an extra hour.

Full of win, not enough words, etc, but just one joke: suppose this will settle down that riparian rights dispute?
