Gun-free businesses

Awful small list. It’s like a check list.

  1. NoOne Says:

When BofA proved themselves to be anti-gun I stopped doing business there.

To be exact it was about 12 million in business. I must say I enjoyed the conversations with their Personal Banker, I was his second largest account.

The funny part was setting down with a chase banker. His first question was, “So if I may ask, what made you decide to leave BofA?”

I replied, “Well First let me ask you, how do you feel about guns?”

Since then we have gone to the range together.

  2. sdo1 Says:

Regions posted. I no longer bank there. BofA has NOT posted, and according to the mangers of several local branches, has no plans to.

  3. MrSatyre Says:

I carry wherever and whenever I damn well please unless it’s in a Federal or LEO-run establishment. Most of those signs don’t carry the weight of the law, so unless someone asks me to leave, I’ll be there with my gun.

  4. CaptainVictory Says:

Oopsie. I was in a Jack-in-the-Box this weekend. I saw no signs, though. Meanwhile, my office is at a BofA building, and they haven’t posted any signs either.

  5. Bryan S. Says:

Red Robin? they seem to have no issue with me open carrying in there. In their store. In the mall. Huh.

  6. Mu Says:

Missing Trader Joe’s, unless it’s only our local guys that are posting.

  7. Frank Says:

We have a Buffalo Wild Wings going up here in Casper. Looks like a good place to wear a sandwich board.

  8. NotClauswitz Says:

Is Costco really gun-free in places like Arizona? They sell some nice gun-safes and other items.

  9. NotClauswitz Says:

And “Groupon” – isn’t that a virtual company (that’s dying) with no actual real-estate that matters, no place to really go? Seems appropriate; vaporware for vapor-co.

  10. Beaumont Says:

It’s nice to have a list of places to inform that you’re not doing business with them. Or, a list of places to carry in while buying none of their products.

  11. Hartley Says:

NotClauswitz, yes, the Arizona Costco stores have been posted, though I’m told they are removing the signs, supposedly because “the language is in the member agreement”. In the meantime, those signs are probably the most ignored ones around. It’s definitely their corporate policy, though I get the impression the local store folks couldn’t care less.
You used to get coupons for things like CCW courses on Groupon – no longer.

  12. DC Says:

There’s a small independent grocery store near me with a sticker that clearly pictures a revolver with a slash through it. No text.

I respect their wishes by only carrying my 1911.

    NotClauswitz:

It appears that Costco’s policy has gotten at least one customer killed. Google the Las Vegas location. They called in the police, who formed a firing squad and executed him, judging by the description of the incident. As is typical, the three cops got away with it. The store security system conveniently lost the recordings.

  14. MAJMike Says:

Here in central Texas, at least Staples, COSTCO, and IKEA don’t prohibit the entry of CCL holders.

  15. TigerStripe Says:

To me this is a “places not to do business with” list more than an “I carry/carried there anyway” list. Many of them do not have locations in my area but the ones who do will no longer get my business… TS

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
