My two year old is exceptionally curious and wants to explore everything with her hands.

It’s due to this reason that I’ve stopped carrying IWB. It only takes a half a second for her to get a hold of my firearm, being that she is allowed in close proximity to me. (Daddy is a jungle gym!) I’m also worried that I may strike at her, thinking instead of my daughter its a cockroach in public attempting something.

I switched to pocket carry with a holster. Yes, she still tries to reach into my pockets but in my mind it’s a lot safer for the both of us. 1) The holster covers the trigger. 2) It requires a lot more effort to get to than if it was IWB. I have no clue how the firearm got turned around enough while it was in the pocket in order to shoot that toddler in that news article.

I will state that I hate the fact that most pockets are too short to properly conceal a firearm in the pocket. In almost every instance I find the grip protruding out of the pocket. But that is another post.

Always remember, you can have your clothes tailored to suit. It took me a while to realize I could have pockets changed just as easily as getting my pants hemmed.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
