Absolutely nothing in that guy’s story makes any sense, except the part where he admits he doesn’t know anything about guns or cars.

I guess he could have gone on to have a career in the DEA. He professional enough.

Well, you would pull the hammer back on an old-fashioned revolver to bring it to half-cock, which would unlock the cylinder so you could inspect all the chambers through the loading gate, but the way it’s described it has to be B.S. Also; you’d think that if a person had killed someone with poor gun handling, he’d then want to learn something about proper gun handling, and in that casse he couldn’t write something so stupid.
Then again, the left has advocated insanity as a protest against “The System”.
