Until either you can get a CCW “license” for free or they implement so called “Constitution carry”, OC is the only way that some folks can exercise their 2nd amendment rights WITHOUT paying for that right.
Course you have to be aware of what might happen etc. Freedom does not come with any guarantee’s of safety.
However of all the folks that do OC, the % of folks that have gotten robbed of their firearm is quite low.
When folks say that OC is not a deterrent to crime, usually this kind of thing is very difficult to prove. (prove that because X happened, Y did not happen.) However, there is this one story…
Not a bad presentation, but I find the arguments quite lacking. There are some downsides, but I think the general “Look guns aren’t bad people” is a strong argument to do it. I think it is a political statement, and there is nothing wrong with that.
However just because I might disagree with someone regarding how they might choose to exercise (or not exercise) their rights, I will still fight to defend their right to make that choice AS LONG AS they don’t try to force me to exercise my rights in a manner that THEY deem proper.

A very reasonable presentation of the down side of O/C.

Agree with you 100% Patrick H.
