Whadaya know? My 1851 Colt percussion revolver uses rotating chambers with caseless, and consumable case, ammo. The original Sharps breechloader used “in-line, push-through” consumable envelope cartridges.
I always thought that the new-fangled, metal cartridges all the kids are using were a passing fad.
