Been there. Decided that instead, I would test Florida’s new “brief exposure law” and simply took off my holster and pistol and placed it inside a locker. Nobody saw me though.

You can, in fact, wear a Petzl harness over a Glock 27 carried IWB. I’ve only done it while belaying… I’d worry that the gun could be knocked loose in a hard fall.

Last ropes course I took made sure to remind us to disarm to prevent falling firearms and other awkwardness.

That unofficial fifth rule of safety “don’t try to catch a dropped gun” takes on a whole different meaning.

Which brings us to why all the tacticool units have thigh holsters even though the only do rope work about once a year (if that).

Gee, Unc, are your guys doing some kind of “team-building” exercise?
I suspect that your carry weapon would be exposed in the group hug you all do afterward.
The rope course is fun, but don’t let them trick you (in your case, with copious amounts of bourbon) into singing Kumbayah.

The Wilderness Tactical “Safepacker” holster was designed for use by a Mountain Rescue team OpLeader for exactly this issue..:-)
