I sat next to a cop in the Jefferson Co. (AL) Revenue office a couple days ago.
I asked him about his empty holster. His reply: “Yeah, I can carry in here, but it’s not worth listening to them bitch about it.”

Has anyone else noted that this makes bar parking lots the perfect place for car burglars?
In Oregon, CHLs and cops are trusted, not suspected. You carry, and if you use your gun inside a bar, there are consequences if your judgment was wrong.
To my knowledge, there have been only two shootings by CHLs in bars in Oregon since CHLs started 25 years ago. One justified, one not, but that one was a love-triangle murder if memory serves.
