About $300 for each POS

A gun buyback spent a lot of money and cheap and broken guns.

I was encouraged to see that the program was funded through private donations, although I suppose the taxpayers were still on the hook for the hours that the cops put into the effort. If one group of mindless progs wants to pay another group of mindless progs to throw away unwanted property, more power to them.

I wish they would do that near me. I’d run to Cabalas and Gander Mountain, by 3-4 Crickets at $99 a pop and turn them in. Then use the profit to purchase that 1911 I’ve always wanted or maybe a new AR.

On the other hand, he appears to be holding, in the photo, a Galil Paratrooper.

Which is worth more than $300.

Might even be worth more than the $750 for “pre-ban assault rifles”.

(Why they thought a bayonet lug or flash hider was worth paying $250 more is beyond me…

Are the guys running it really that stupid? Or is it just good PR to buy with Other People’s Money?

    Baffling.)
