All of these firearm freedom bills are nothing but symbolism.
Want to do something real? Declare everyone in the state to be part of the state militia, and issue them an M-4 lower as part of their load-out.
States can issue cops and state militia all the bang toys they want or need … so make use of this.

Nullification by states has never been upheld. I think Kristophr has a better idea, but I doubt any state — even Montana — would implement it.
Most state politicians are just as suspicious of the common citizenry as the feds are.

No, this will be upheld by SCOTUS, despite being from teh 9th Circuit, because Scalia hates weed more than he loves federalism. (That’s why Raich was decided the way it was — and Stewart, which was decided IAW Raich, has ALREADY confirmed the precedent that Wickard first set DIRECTLY applies to federal firearms laws vis a vis purely intrastate firearms.)
