X-rays cause guns to fire?
I’m sure that’s not what was meant but this is odd:
“Bringing a loaded weapon into a crowded checkpoint is a serious matter,” TSA spokeswoman Sari Koshetz wrote in an email. “Sometimes passengers literally throw their carry-on suitcase onto the X-ray belt and an accidental discharge could be tragic!”
A properly holstered weapon likely wouldn’t fire from impact.

So… it would be better if there weren’t these crowded checkpoints?

So the speaker either
A: Doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about,
B: Wants her some hysteria stirred up,
C: All of the above.

So…get rid of the crowded checkpoint (bomb magnet) and allow everyone to carry arms.

The presence of X-Raya will not necessarily cause a firearm to discharge… but morons? Yep, most times.
