In DC, otherwise law-abiding people who unknowingly have a shell casing on them will be arrested
It’s kinda like the PD there is still butthurt over Heller. Meanwhile, gun criminal David Gregory got off scott free after displaying contraband live on the national TeeVee.

Don’t forget the part about his prior discussions with the PD about displaying the contraband. So he was willfully showing contempt for the laws and the police when he went ahead and displayed the contraband.

I used to live in northern VA just across the Potomac from DC. On the way to the range once I got stuck in construction and ended up in a detour that went through DC.
I was crapping bricks the whole time.

Waiting patiently for the resignations of all the “pro-gun rank and file” DC police.

When I lived in Maryland and worked in DC, I knew to remove all guns from the car on Sunday after a trip to the range, but did not know about the ammo laws. I only worked in DC for 6 years, so perhaps I would have picked up on this detail eventually, but I must have violated this law hundreds of times.
Good to know. Better late than never, I guess.
Better still to live in Texas now.

I say take a few buckets of .22lr brass and crappy steel milsurp casings; and put it in the back of a pickup with the tailgate down. Peg the throttle after a red light in a high pedestrian density area, then go home and watch the news! I wonder how many people would pick it up, I wonder if all those people would be arrested…..

Hey! It’s just like Mexico– The difference between getting beaten and locked up, and being left alone, is all about who you know. Cool. We’re just like a quaint, foreign country.
