The writer from the polling firm shows just how tone-deaf he is when he states that the magazine ban was “a pretty unobtrusive law.”

Yeah I saw that, too. It’s pretty unobtrusive if you don’t own any guns, don’t plan to own any guns, and think people who own guns are icky.
It won’t affect you at all if you’re one of those people, so it’s pretty unobtrusive.

I don’t see that in this statement, basically he’s admitting that his data didn’t make sense to him, not that he didn’t like them for some political reason. What doesn’t surprise me, trying to poll a local election hanging mostly on turn-out is iffy to begin with, and you don’t want to embarrass yourself being 20 points off in your prediction.

At least now they’re starting to admit it. This is a step in the right direction. In the past they’ve always tried to make us think they were being accurate for the sake of accuracy.
