Just like Obamacare, there are “exemptions”

President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to “vetted” opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Well, if we can arm Mexican drug lords, what’s a terrorist or two?

What authority allows a President to waive….anything?

So he just retroactively gave himself permission for the CIA op at Benghazi?

Keep in mind, the way this Admin “Vetts” people, one gets people like the DC Shooter, the FT.Hood Shooter, Snowden, the Wikileaks Soldier (what ever his/her name is today),…..

…while planning and working to disarm U.S. citizens

  5. NotClauswitz Says:

How does ANYBODY just “waive” a Law?

  6. Ron W Says:

People “waive” laws all the time. We call that illegal or unlawful and those who do it, criminals.

  7. IllTemperedCur Says:

    Because shut up, that’s why.

  8. theforgottenman Says:

To quote former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

  9. Geodkyt Says:

Actually, the statute in question does give the President the authority to waive it in the interests of national security. There are some hoops to jump thropugh, but they are all held by Administration officials, so basically it’s a blank check for the President to nullify the law whenever he wants to.

So the “law” against arming terrorists is merely a symbolic gesture, at best.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
