Surviving the government shutdown
It’s terrible. All these people going about their business as if nothing happened. Most are going to work.
Good thing I brought a rifle and bug out bag.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Hopefully nobody will notice, otherwise they might figure out the libertarians are right!

But. But. But. THE GUVMEINT IS INVADING ALL OF OUR LIVES. Seriously, this is sort of the point about that goofy talk. We interact very little with the federal government in our day to day lives (NSA notwithstanding).

We directly interact with the gooberment rarely, but it has impact and is invasive to our lives almost every minute of our lives. The real message is the overwhelming majority of us get along just fine without most of it’s “services”, thank you very much.

I’m noticing since we’re trying to finance a new house with a VA Loan. Pretty well screws that up.

Except when we drive our cars that have thousands of dollars of government mandated safety equipment powered by fuel that includes corn.
Or when we shower with low-flow showerheads and use the bathroom with toilets that require 4 flushes to do anything.
Or when we do anything that makes a profit. Or doesn’t. Either way.

I fear that it may be as bad as the dreaded sequester (that no one noticed).

Amazingly, this “shutdown” is not as advertised. All the vacuuming of cash from our pockets continues, while the alleged services that that robbery is supposed to provide stop.
Good news, the national parks are free to homestead without any par cops to stop the log cabin construction.
