Congresscritters are immune from the law while congress is in session.
If they do something bad, they have to be censured by congress for it.
That, and DC home rule can be ended on a whim by congress, so yea, the DC police leave them the hell alone.

In addition, she has a Fed Marshall’s (associates?) badge because of being a congresscritter. She can go armed anywhere a Marshall can, which is everywhere. I think it may be why she gave up her CA permit.

Will – That’s not correct. DOJ issued an opinion many years ago stating that Members of Congress could not hold a special deputy commission. They can’t serve in the legislative branch and in the executive branch at the same time.
