Um…this is “new”?
The “maintenance” function that can seek out and “fix” your phone, even when off,(unless one pulls the battery) has been around for YEARS.
Naturally, like ANY back door installed by ANY purveyor of “secure” software, it was labeled a “convenience feature” once “outed”.
I’m not sure if the USPS scans BOTH sides of every envelope that passes through their “centralized processing-digitalization centers”, but apparently the best way to maintain any sense of privacy in “one’s person and papers” is to write a letter, IN LONGHAND, with no return address on the outside, and fork over a stamp.
