They keep using that words. I do not think it means what they think it means.
Good thing their version of common sense isn’t actually, you know, common.

Sometimes, when you need it, your equipment will fail.
I have long gone on about how much I like my Leatherman Skeletool. Well, after years of fairly hard use, mine finally failed:
It was no match for a stubborn whirlpool tub drain. A pretty clean break:
It says it has a stainless steel body but it looks to me like the stress point there is made of the same material that Matchbox Cars and Walther P22s are made of (I’m no metallurgist though):
They have a 25 year warranty so no worries. And it looks like I’ll get a decent knife out of the breakage:
Nearly 40% of workers need a government permission slip to work. Actually, 100% do. Tax forms and all.
So, a man finds a gun in a bathroom. It was left there by a negligent police officer who follows bad advice you read on the internet. Anyway, the man took it home and intended to call the police but didn’t, fearing repercussions of some sort.
The man is facing 10 years for a game of finders keepers.
So, OMG, the shutdown happened. And mostly people didn’t notice. So, the .gov is out there making life as difficult for people as we can.
And, so, the shutdown theater commenced:
Shutting down the Amber Alert page. Because petty politics is more important than finding missing kids.
Police are removing veterans from memorials.
Putting up cones to block the views at Mt. Rushmore.
Tried to shut down a privately run park.
Kicking people out of their private homes.
And shutting down and patrolling the ocean. Because patrolling it costs less than leaving it be.
It’s all disgusting. Our government is putting barricades up to keep law-abiding citizens out. Not a barricade to stop terrorists or people crossing the border. But 90 year old veterans.
I’m not sure I’d pull out my tinfoil beanie just yet. But it’s going to be an interesting next 10 days.
Usually I can’t wait for guys like Tom Clancy to die. What a nut job.
People in flood-torn Colorado had to move their guns to family and friends’ houses. This violates Colorado’s new gun control laws about transfer of firearms. So, they could be prosecuted.
This looks like a useful skill:
Mentioned it yesterday but here’s some more:
Another look at the .gov shutting down websites. They’re only half-ass doing it for show, it seems.
Again, only blocking the more popular attractions. Just to show you who’s boss.
Most of .gov is unessential. Well, yeah. But the focus is to make it hurt and show you who’s boss.
Only this time, the paper that wants page views is suing to get data on carry permit holders.
Well, I knew about them. And too bad they don’t mention that most of those weapons are mostly illegal.
Initial reports were that the capitol was on lock down and shooter on the loose. And boy are their faces red. Not really, that would require the ability to feel shame.
Narrative and all. After a notable event, the press will get everything substantially wrong.
Oly AR. Soon, the word pre-ban won’t mean much to Jay.
Never thought I’d say this but Sexy Glock
There’s talk of firing him. Or letting his contract lapse. Says FTV:
One group that will likely be happy that CNN is pulling the plug on Morgan in prime time… the NRA.
No. Morgan, with his hysterical fear-mongering and, frankly, that he’s wrong so much, have probably helped the NRA quite a bit.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
