Meanwhile, your sponsor, LuckyGunner.com, insists that it cannot legally sell ammunition to me because I live in Chicago, even though our latest state law (our new carry law) completely preempts local regulation of handguns and handgun ammunition.
Is their legal department inept or are they lying?
Even if a law on the books is supposedly invalid or never enforced, why should LuckyGunner submit itself to the expense, annoyance, and bad publicity of a charge or even arrest for selling to you there?
They know you’re dealing with corrupt officials of a corrupt government, and they are just take very good care to avoid their snares, traps, and pitfalls.
It isn’t personal, it’s official government chilling of exercise of your rights. But you knew that when you started living there.
We appreciate the efforts you have made in advancing Second Amendment rights. Despite those advancements, we still do not believe we can sell ammunition to Chicago residents for the following reasons listed on this page: http://www.luckygunner.com/ammo-regulations-for-shipping-to-chicago
We would be happy to assist you in fighting against these burdensome laws. If you place an order on our site, we will cancel it and notify you that the order is being explicitly cancelled because we cannot ship to Chicago because of Chicago’s burdensome and suspect laws regarding the sale of ammunition. Then, you should have standing to challenge O2013-6015.
I live in DuPage county about 300 yards from Cook County/Chicago. I use Lucky Gunner often with no problems at all. Blame your government, not your vendor.

I’m glad I live in Kane County and not Cook.
