All those people who enrolled in Obamacare didn’t.
Caught two bits of news last week on the local radio. The language was of concern to me. In one instance, the newsperson referred to people buying insurance at healthcare.gov as “consumers”. Kind of implies some sort of market relationship but I don’t think those forced to buy .gov health care are really consumers in any sense of the word.
The next bit was about the TSA agent that was shot and killed by a nutjob at LAX. They referred to him as “the first TSA agent killed in the line of duty”. That didn’t sit well either.
A politician would like to let police search your home just to make sure you’re complying with the law.

He calls it violence control. Of course, Christie is no friend to gun owners.
The FBI is to pay out $20Gs to whoever helped them locate their lost rifle. It’s in MA so I presume the local po-po will be charging the agents with violation of MA’s safe storage laws?

Tam doesn’t get hybrid holsters. Holsters are one of those things like boxers or briefs where there is no right or wrong answer. But hybrids are, to me, like boxer-briefs: kind of the best features in one package.
I don’t like plastic rubbing against my flesh and the leather feels better. I don’t like how leather around the gun can deform, warp, become soft and, in rare cases, become unsafe. So, I have quite a few hybrid holsters. And I like them just fine.
YMMV.
DC has all the gun control in the US. Yet, their shot spotter picked up nearly 40,000 gun shots. Also, it doesn’t pick up every shot.
A lot of firearms laws are that way. For instance, in TN, it is illegal to own a machine gun. However, having paid your federal tax and gone through the NFA process is an affirmative defense to owning a machine gun. So, they could arrest and charge you. Then you’d have to go to court with your tax stamp and say you are legit. In theory. Around here, that doesn’t happen and showing a cop your tax stamp is good enough. But they could still arrest you.
In Florida, having a concealed carry permit is an affirmative defense. And that is pretty bad law considering it is the Gun Shine State.
I read about this a couple of days ago via JTB. I had to put the internet down and walk away. Because I’d have otherwise said that all those involved from the judge down to the hospital administrators should be suspended by their hands from a ceiling and beaten with rebar until they shit themselves. Thankfully, I’ve calmed down and can now talk about it in that “boy, I almost” sort of way.
I’m sure you know the story of the guy whose good posture and appearance that he was clenching his butt cheeks, and thus hiding drugs in his pooper, lead to him being carted to a hospital wherein the staff commenced to:
All against his will. All because he looked suspicious. He had no drugs.
This is infuriating and should be on the front page of every news outlet out there.
A dog can get you ass-raped by the government.
I’m glad Ken has taken an interest in this case. The victim here should own that town.
