3D printing an AR-15 75-Round 5.56mm Drum Magazine

Technology:

I’d like to see it in action, though.

I think a drum is MORE practical for a 3D printer. Why? 3D printed plastic isn’t as strong as injection-molded polymer (like Magpul PMAG’s are made of). The walls have to be much thicker on 3D-printed magazines. If you design a drum to use a modified 10-round magazine as the feeder and just print the “body” of the drum, you could make the rest of the drum body and the inside “tumbler” as thick as you want, making it strong enough.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
