Gun Porn
For the first time, I took the Colt with the AR-PEPR to the range. During the first magazine through it, I had a failure to fire. Back in the day, I would have stopped, examined the gun, examined the round, examined the mag and figured out what happened to cause it to fail. These days, I just clear the fucking malf and shoot. So, I did that. And it ran flawlessly the rest of the day. It even ran flawlessly with the CMMG 22LR conversion in it. It’s amazing how much better those kits run with magazines that have metal feed lips. Do not buy the plastic feed lip mags. I have a stack full of dead soldiers to prove it.
TSA has a video for kids explaining to them why they have act like prisoners to get on a plane:
Comments are disabled, of course. It could be fake, I guess.
Time to get the kids down and put on my Santa hat.
Santa is black!
I come home and my son is wearing a white shirt, a bow tie, and a towel over his arm. He tells me he’s a butler. And we have this conversation:
Me: Do you know how to buttle?
My son: Huh?
Me: Readers read. Builders build. So butlers buttle.
My son: How do you buttle?
Me: Well you’re the butler, tell me.
My son: Butlers don’t buttle.
Me: Sure they do. Planters plant. Gardeners garden. Drivers drive. Fingers fing.
My son: Fingers don’t fing.
Me: Do you know what a fing is?
My son: No.
Me: Then how do you know?
NSSF: Americans Don’t Think ‘Universal Background Checks’ Extension for Gun Shows Are Needed, National Poll Finds
I’d like to see it in action, though.
At an Al Sharpton event to address gun violence, gun control did not break out:
While the stated goal for Sharpton was to bring the many different groups together to discuss solutions to the city’s violence epidemic, he may not have gotten the types of responses he was looking for. Calls for more gun control laws and getting guns off the streets were nonexistent and not mentioned by residents throughout the session.
Instead, attendees offered solutions addressing the problems facing their community as a whole rather than just taking on “gun violence” itself.
Why, it’s like they want to do something that actually works.
HYSTERIA. People are sure spooked of them there totems. And this:
A recent study published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology suggests that when people are holding a gun, they’re less capable of evaluating a threat than they would be if they didn’t have a weapon in their own hands.
Reading the study, you find it’s absolute rubbish. Ah, psychology.
Yup. Boy, you break ranks or do something different on the blog and readers react as though you specifically targeted them for insult. Personally, I like varying opinions. Echo chambers aren’t fun.
Somebody send Tam some beer.
Well, the press only trots out aggrieved victims because, like witnessing your fellow man gawking at a car wreck, folks are drawn to tragedy.
The shooting was stopped in 80 seconds by a good guy with a gun.
My little girl challenged a kid from the local championship team to a push up contest:
Five minutes before this, she did 50 push ups and 5 one-armed right handed and 5 one-armed left handed. 48-27 if you must know. Junior wouldn’t participate in the tackling contest because she’s smart.
Oh, and, also, you should apparently subscribe to my nephew’s youtube channel because that is important to him.
So, you want a suppressed, short-barreled 10/22 but the thought of ponying up $400 in taxes isn’t appealing? Well, do the Tactical Solutions SBX will cut your tax burden in half:
It’s a sixteen and half inch barrel so you don’t run afoul of SBR tax laws but it has a barrel shroud* that houses your suppressor. It is threaded at ½”-28 TPI to fit most factory suppressors, such as my Gemtech Outback II
I dropped it in a Blackhawk Knoxx Axiom stock. I like the ergonomics of it. It’s almost AR-15ish.
* It does not go up.
