Caught mention of this from a whiner at National Review. Not sure why people want to step up and defend people like Metcalf when they are obviously wrong. They also miss the point in general that the gun owners in America have been fighting to keep a constitutionally delineated right and tend to know a little about the issue.

I read his infamous essay in G&A. Holy Cow, what a dumbass! He used all the old clichés we dispelled years and years ago. I was astonished at how a guy could be so ignorant and so out of touch.
I was ready to pull my advertizing, but they had already booted his ass.
I suppose he’ll end up with his own segment on CNN or FOX, right next to Al Sharpton.
