I don’t understand, do these idiots not have any semi competent staff, do any prep before going out and flapping their gums? To come out with this performance, you would be forgiven to think he intended to come off as an ignorant fool. I guess if we had a truly independent press, morons like this would have to do better or be face mainstream mocking.
I dunno, I didn’t hear “ghost” gun, I heard “Gauss” gun. I think they had one of those in Doom or Quake or something. The rate of fire was something like 1.27 million magazine clips per minute, but maybe this is an early prototype. If they are seeing things like Gauss guns down in LA, maybe I could kinda sorta get behind this important legislation.
‘Cause honestly, nothing quite says “sh!t just got real” like a mother fu@king Gauss gun.
I sure hope I’m never caught in a situation where a madman takes aim at me with a thirty magazine clip. But if I ever do find myself so situated, I sure hope said madman is using a ghost gun with no sights.
This is the idiocy and tyranny that we are dealing with in Crazifornia. As one of the last defenders, holed out in Fresno County, I am seeming my rights taken away by loons like this fellow who actually pass legislation that is just as absurd. Every building in California has a cancer-producing chemicals warning. That is what we are dealing with here. San Francisco and SoCal have taken over the rest of us. Take heart, though. They have so shackled California with regulations and bad mojo that the economy will continue to kill off a state that, at one time, had the 5th largest economy in the world. I should leave but I am 58 and have family and grandkids, and a ranch. I have opted to stay and fight by all peaceful means available. Of course, the politicians and nannies may push things further. For those of you in other states, please pray for California and those of us who are a very small minority holding out in the poorest counties of the state.
I dont understand, do these idiots not have any semi competent staff, do any prep before going out and flapping their gums?
Of course they don’t. The staff either thinks guns are icky and shouldn’t be touched, or when they start to do research they realize that gun control is complete BS.
“The staff either thinks guns are icky and shouldnt be touched”….except by the ruling elite class and their agents. Notice that they always violate “the equal protection of the laws” (14th Amendment, one of two which ruled slavery illegal) by EXEMPTING themselves from gun control laws. They are very evil in taking from others what they keep for themselves.
“…except by the ruling elite class and their agents.”
Yup, like the “agent” behind this doofus, who you know is packing a High Capacity Clip on his hip and a 30 Magazine Clip thing close by to keep the proles in their place.
Markie Marxist sez: “Cool! Cool! He’s got his commie crazy on! We don’t need to make sense, we just need to win, win, win! Ha! Ha! We can lie and talk BS faster than the NRA can tell the truth! Ha! Ha! All your truth are belong to us! And we lie! Ha! Ha!”
I hear that the new robotic MG42’s can be programmed to cut an enemy in half almost wherever one wants. I understand that the menu allows for selecting, “neck”, “chest”, “waist”, “crotch”, “knees” or “ankles”. For this particular d-bag, I would throw that hard, cold, calculating approach to the wind, and just go with “crotch”. Ultimately, more satisfying anyway.
Revenge may be a dish best served cold, but you don’t want it frozen, do you, old chap? Ballistically sawn in half across the testicles? Yes, I suppose that would do. I mean, if he actually has any.
They succeed because we focus on their dumb way of delivering the message, instead of the message itself.
I know it’s fun to make fun of their ignorance, but the simple truth is he delivered a message that was heard loud and clear by his intended recipients: “these guns are extreme; they are not traditional; they should be banned because they can do great harm in a short period of time.”
That was his message. He did not make a fool of himself in front of the people he was talking to. He delivered the message and they got it.
We are not commenting on the wrongheaded message, or how incorrect his assessment of our rights might be. All we do is point and laugh while saying, “clip magazine ha ha.”
And we wonder why they keep winning this argument (don’t for a minute think that more lawmakers didn’t personally want to vote for a new AWB in Congress…they only avoid it out of political preservation. They buy the message being delivered in CA but are only stopped because they need the “gun nut” vote.)
We need to counter the message and stop snickering like kids at the improper semantics they use while delivering it.
Sorry if this seems harsh. Just one of those days, I guess…..
This blog, this link, this comment thread, is focused on one example of a legislator proposing laws that not only don’t achieve their stated goal, but which we as gun rights advocates recognize as completely divorced from reality.
Now think about all the other legislation proposed and passed in California, MD, NY, NJ, CO, and elsewhere regarding guns, that also fail to pass the test of rational analysis based on facts.
That is bad.
What is worse is that the rest of the legislation and regulation passed in all other subjects, from health care to taxes to running silent rickshaws in Charleston, are likely as based in facts and rationally designed as these gun laws.

30 magazine clip? In half a second?
Is it like one of those Japanese machine guns that takes stacks of clips?

A clip fed magazine that fires clips while it fires clips. Xzibit would be proud.

Sad thing is most people watching him and those reporting on what he says believe he knows what he’s talking about… 🙁

Josh Sugarman is the lone exception.

Gun control “for the people”, NOT their employees, employess who think their job is to rule over us.

Not harsh at all Patrick.
They are proud of their ignorance. People who know anything about guns are dangerous nutters in their universe.
Every time an asshole like this tells us we don’t need military weapons, we should respond with an argument like this one instead.

@Kristophr: thanks. Was more concerned about sounding grumpy at our community. It was a grumpy morning for me…
In a better mood now. Those guys really are idiots, and I get frustrated sometimes knowing they get to sell ignorance daily.
