It would be nice if just one phone company would stand up to these “court orders” and require a warrant for law enforcement to obtain the phone companies private property (customer’s phone records). Even a company has 4th Amendment rights. I hear of many companies that require warrants to get their files, or lists of members, which is nearly impossible to prove probable cause for. What is next, requiring lawyers to hand over files of their clients, due to a court order?
