Even if we take the definition of violence as being “wild and turbulent”, the bullet is being expelled with neither of those properties. And velocity has no force, only potential energy. But as the bullet “rips through the air” the force upon it would be negative resulting in loss of velocity. The air often acting up on the bullet with violence, i.e, wildly and turbulently.
