Fascinating, though I see another issue for the future;
“This is a substantial attempt to push back against federal actions violating the Second Amendment.”
They bring up a thing called the anti-commandeering doctrine. Well there’s another one, called Incorporation Doctrine, and it says the states can’t violate our rights either.
The left, usually without knowing anything about it, often relies on incorporation doctrine, most notably when it comes to first amendment issues and the non-existent constitutional right to an abortion. There’s a ton of precedent to support incorporation doctrine, and at the moment FL is not addressing it.
One step at a time I guess. This is really good stuff. Thanks.
Declare all Florida CCW holders to be state militia, and then issue each of them a burst-fire M-4 lower + bolt carrier with the CCW holder’s permit number stamped on it, in return for a $500 “deposit”.

Hey I know! They can pass a bill that also makes it a crime for local LEO to assist the DEA on enforcing federal pot laws.
And we can see which one the feds freak out over more.
I wonder if the feds even know (or care) about the precedent they’re setting by choosing to tacitly endorse CO and Wash’s de facto nullification.

Symbolic at best.

That will set the fox amongst the BATF chickens.

Wanna bet that sheriffs will use this law as an excuse to not sign off on NFA paperwork?
