Obama continues to ignore law named after him
So, Obamacare has been delayed. Again. For political reasons. This time, it won’t go into effect until Obama is no longer in office. They have elections to win, you see. And this law is not helpful for that end. So, once again, Obama is doing his impression of a dictator in a banana republic in which laws don’t matter. Also, this:
Treasury officials said Monday that businesses will be told to “certify” that they are not shedding full-time workers simply to avoid the mandate. Officials said employers will be told to sign a “self-attestation” on their tax forms affirming this, under penalty of perjury.
Let that sink in. Attest to this under threat of perjury.

I will admit to anything under coercion…

How’s that line go again? “You can’t handle the truth!”

What if you wanted to avoid the mandate to save money so you could donate it to republicans.
So it’s not illegal shed workers to avoid the mandate I take it.
Otherwise, the would try to make an example of some business.
In other words, they are going to get you to sing an affidavit saying you are not avoiding the mandate, if you found to have actually avoided the mandate, you lied on the affidavit, though you broke no laws.
Since you lied you you can be sent to jail/fined/smeared.

How fast would an IRS auditor show up if you plead the 5th?

I’m not mad at Obama for this anymore. I’m mad at the GOP legislators allowing him to contravene the law via delaying the mandates time after time to delay the law’s collapse. It is called judicial oversight and the GOP should use it to stop Obama from usurping their legislative authority. The only reason I can think of why they would not do so is that they (and this includes ALL GOP legislators, not just the RINOs) are afraid of the political backlash.
If implemented as it should have been by law, ObamaCare would have collapsed under it’s own weight within the year and in time for the 2014 elections. But the GOP refuses to make Obama enforce His own law…

So what would be the penalty for saying “Yes, I did shed workers to avoid the mandate”? Seems to me that would be your right as a business owner to hire, fire, and to reduce or increase the hours of your employees as you see fit, so long as you aren’t discriminating because of something like race or gender.
So what would be the cost to the business of signing an affidavit saying “Damn right I’m reducing hours (or laying off employees) in order to avoid the mandate!”? Can’t get them for lying, and I can’t think of any reason why it would be illegal for them to do so, unless it’s buried somewhere in Obamacare.
