I first read that as “NFA 10/22” and was hoping it’d be selective fire and suppressed, with a 50 round drum.
Oh, well.

More than a few muzzloader shooters have launched their ram rods, but because of the lower pressures it usually only destroys the rod. I think this is the first time I’ve heard of launching a cleaning rod. Ouch.

After a couple of weeks in the woods of West Virginia, a buddy of mine got tired of living on MREs. He plugged a turkey with a cleaning rod launched by a blank 5.56.
Got an through and through on the bird with a CNS hit. Came back to camp with the turkey sprawled over his Alice. Cooked it up and shared the meal with all of us.
His weapon wasnt damaged. I can imagine an actual round destroying the rod and barrel. But then again, I have seen M4 barrels take some stupid levels of abuse and still deliver rounds.

I’ve seen a couple of instances where someone left one of those laser bore sighters in the bore. The result looked a lot like a banana peel.
