So the .gov can shut it down if they think you’re using phosphates, of course. Or too much water, or too much detergent, or you’re mixing lights with darks, etc.
So it can re set the drier to LOW when the refrigerator tells it you’ve been eating too much unapproved food products. Or turn it up HIGH the days preceding your “free” annual checkup electronic documentation.
It needs wifi so it can talk to you city water meter, which is addressable via it’s cell phone chip. I presume the washer can make a data dump via a VOIP call to either the meter or the City waterworks directly.
Our washers are in the basement. I want my washing machine to be loud enough to hear it upstairs. OR, it could alert me through my phone over WiFi. And then it could tell me I’m an hour late to change loads, and send the kid down to do it.
