I remember in the cavemen days, Vermont and Alabama were said to be the only two states where you could walk into a hardware store, buy a pistol, drop it in your pocket and walk out into street with it. Then somebody said that Alabama had imposed a holster requirement. I suppose they wanted to help out the leather workers*. Is it still open carry with a pocket holster, I wonder?
*It makes more sense in Vermont where full public nudity is also legal.
why yes, yes we do have some odd gun laws. Until relatively recently, a semi-auto SBR was illegal while a full-auto SBR was legal. Figure that one out…
aerodawg, Vermont and Alabama really were my heroes when I was young. Do you know if it is really true that it was first constitutional carry and then went to CCW permit/free open carry?
