Looks to me as if it’s a 6.5(.255)X45 or as close as you can get. Know a builder who did a bunch of AR platforms many years ago for the Japanese market. Civilins weren’t allowed to own military caliber firearms over there.
Is there a ‘factory’ 6×45 cartridge? If not, more power to Sharps for the wonderfully named 25-45.
You know 25-45 as a name is a very strange mix of english and metric measurements. Pretty far from the convention that give us such things as the 32-20 or 45-70. Perhaps like the 30-06, 25-45 is one more oddity to confuse those who live outside the gun culture.

No it looks like a true .25 caliber firing .257 inch diameter bullets. A 6.5mm typically fires .264 diameter bullets.
Still, why not just use 6mm version instead? OAL issues?

I am a fan of anything “Sharps”, but… why?

Obviously, the progenitor is hoping for a huge buzz on arfcom. 87-gr bullet, eh? Whose? What style bullet?
Also, +1 Brad. There are more match grade bullets built in .243 than any other caliber, thanks to the benchresters.

Sounds like someone has fired a .25-35 Remington.
