More on Leland Yee’s indictment
He was going to get the arms from Russia. Hmm, what comes from there?

After only four paragraphs we learn that Senator Lee is a (D-San Francisoc), which is more party affiliation than previous stories about Senator Lee had included.
So the question, which would surely be asked of, say, a state senator (R-Orange County) is, what did other members of his party know, and when did they know it?
Or is that sort of grouping by party affiliation, done all the time when an R makes so much as an infelicitously worded public statement, impolite when applied to a gun-running D?

Leland Yee, not Lee. My apologies to the Democrat state senator from San Francisco. The last thing I want to do is misidentify the Democrat state senator who has been indicted for a host of crimes.

San Francisco is a weird place. You’d never find a legislator trafficking guns to gangs in Chicago or New York. That’s for the police to do.

The article makes reference to “automatic rifles and shoulder-fired missiles) from Russia and Ukraine, and later (in conjunction with a different arms dealer) “M-16 type automatic rifles” from the Phillipines. Supplied with the connivance of one of CA’s most antigun politicians, who even won awards from the Brady Bunch for his antigunnery.
But what really worries the CA legislature is home-built AR-15s. Jeez.

And he was going to sell them to Al Qaieda pukes in Mindanao so they could use them to murder Americans and non-islamic filipinos.
While advocating gun control in the US, and bad mouthing Limbaugh as evil.
What a zero.

Chinese 311s and U.S. M-16s in the PI.

If he’d been an R (as if) the headline would have been “Republican State Senator Indicted for Gun Running” and his name would have waited for the first paragraph.

The Democrat Party has already come out and basically said, “you’re innocent until proven guilty, but you need to get the f*ck out of your legislative seat”.
Gotta love how fast they throw their own to the wolves.

Maybe we ought to let the Pilipinos run him through their court system when we’re done…

” aiding, abetting, or providing comfort to the enemy…”
This SHOULD be fairly clear.
Granted, the profit margin is higher for stuff deemed illegal to even possess, and “working” to make as much stuff illegal to even possess seems to be in line with the history of (ie.)NYT(& cet.) “economists” consistently supporting “certain” political parties.
