How about we follow rule one… and assume that all homes have a firearm, and teach our kids accordingly?

What Azzy said.
Teach your kids to not touch guns, and to go away (and tell an adult) if they see one lying around – or worse, in the hands of another kid, and they’re near immune to being killed by a Gun Accident involving another kid.
