Fined for feeding the homeless. This is one of the things that’s easy to bring up next time you hear that ridiculous argument.

I agree with the law. Creating an attraction for people who cannot or will not take good enough care of themselves to manage a home just makes sure that you have more of them.
If someone wants to feed the homeless, feed them at their house, not at a public park. Feel free to mess up your own house. Leave our parks out of it.

Florida has a HUGE homeless population. They lie around, drink and do drugs all day. The crap and piss all over public parks and outside of businesses, to the point where the parks are unusable and customers are scared away from businesses. They commit crimes to support their habits.
To protect the public parks and the businesses, the local governments have areas set aside for caring for the homeless, where people are encouraged to do so. There are also charity run shelters where they are cared for, as well as government run shelters. This group that deliberately feeds them in areas is purposely trying to provoke cops into arresting them by feeding homeless in the middle of the park or in the business district.
If this group cared about the homeless, they would feed them in the areas set aside for the purpose, but instead, they try to be in your face about it.
How would you feel if someone was feeding the homeless in your neighborhood, and your neighborhood was filled with drug-addled, drunk, homeless bums to the point where you were afraid to let your kids outside to play?
My question to these people that supposedly care about the homeless is this: If you care so much, then how many homeless can you house in your home? If all of the people that cared so much would do so, then the problem would be solved. Wanna feed the homeless? do it on your own property with your own money, and make sure that you don’t disturb the other land owners in the area as you do it.

The only reason to be homeless in America is if you are mentally, phusically, or morally defective, or all three. And it’s ok as long as you don’t become a public nuisance and impose your low quality on life on other people. When you do, they have the right to abate you.

You can get locked up for feeding the bears and ‘gators too. And for all the same reasons.
