Bulletproof your kid with Brownells
A story on the efficacy of bulletproof backpacks. After you skip through the half way point because the first half will make you stupid*, you see that they stop handgun rounds and not rifle rounds. Which is exactly what they are made for. But stuff a couple of Brownells catalogs and that AR round isn’t so tough.
* Do they really protect your child or are they making money off of parents’ fear? Yes to both, dumb ass.

Great timing. Just when backpacks are becoming passe due to electronic books. If you have a couple big books in a backpack, pretty much all of them are bulletproof for handguns and ARs.

But how much trouble would your kid get into for bringing a Brownell’s catalog to school?

Heh, the school books I had would have made most backpacks reasonably up-armored.
