That’s not to say that there are false flags or turncoats at work here.
Pride and vanity are more than adequate enough to explain the destructive behavior, especially with the whole sunk cost and “white knight” behavior at work.
The carry movement didn’t lose to Chipotle and Sonic.
Or Chili’s.
I haven’t been to a Chipotle and I’m not going.
I haven’t been to a Sonic in decades.
And I quit having to go to Chili’s when my parents died.
While I disagree, like you do, with the clowns running around with AR-15s strapped over their shoulders, these restaurant chains which tell me to leave my gun in the car have kissed me and my money goodbye.
The Jack: That they haven’t done this tells you all you need to know about the support the anti’s have: none.
If these OC yahoos carried a rifle into a restaurant once a day for a month, with news crews standing by each time, after about day 3 the story would be so well known that businesses would say, “Oh, you guys, I saw you on the news last week. Have a good meal.”
“We’re here! We’re queer! Get used to it!” used to make national news when protesters would shout in the middle of Mass at St. Patrick’s in New York. Now there is gay marriage in 10 states, and more joining annually.
Obnoxious protests work. So do strait-laced decent people standing up for rights in a way nobody could object to, except for Moms Demanding Their Way.
Why can’t we have both, and speed up the reforms until we don’t need the obnoxious bastards going out in public any more?
When was the last time you heard about a Mass being disrupted by gay protesters?
The Texas state legislators who have been the ones working to get Texas OC law fixed for years (before the leader of OCT even decided to organize) are saying that the antics of OCT are actively HURTING their chances of getting the votes they need.
ACT-Up didn’t get gay rights advanced. What did was *normal* folks who happened to be gay, coming out of teh closet to friends, family, and neighbors. Once you know some gay people, they aren’t that scary.

It seems OC Texas will not be happy until every business is posted off limits to handgun permit holders.

I keep thinking these assholes work for the .gov or some anti gun org.

Does anyone else get the feeling that some of these yahoos might be getting Bloomberg checks?

If they’re not, they should.

It’s got to where all it would take is a handful (~3) antis willing to buy and lug around an EBR in public to affect corporate policy.

I’m completely convinced that these guys work for the opposition.
