Sabra and Erik are going through something I cannot imagine. Their unborn baby will not survive after birth. And they’re about to lose their apartment. Funerals are expensive. If you can help, click to donate.
Thank YOU for posting this. If we want government to get out of the “coercive charity” (a contradiction in terms) business (and we do) then it means each one of us must take up any slack ourselves. That means giving, trading skills, and offering hope and a way out for those in dire straights. It’s the American thing to do.
It’s super easy too– It isn’t hard to find someone who’s in a serious bind and needs a hand up. You don’t even have to go lookin’.
All that being said, they made it relatively difficult to give. Tip; don’t select “save your information with PayPal” when paying with a bank card. It’s much easier that way. Piece of cake. It took me several tries to figure that out, but then I can be dense at times.
I can say that burying your child is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I had to do it twice in the space of 11 months, both babies that died before they had the opportunity to experience their first day of life.
Lyle, the fundraiser was set up by some friends of ours. I was unaware of any difficulties with that sort of thing, but I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks again.
