It was no accident
The guy who left the gun at a Target, that is:
On Thursday, June 12, Myrtle Beach Police identified the suspect wanted for unlawful carrying of a handgun in reference to the incident as David Dennis. Police are asking anyone with information on Dennis or his whereabouts to contact MBPD at 843-918-1911.
The fact that it was found in an aisle geared toward children makes some shoppers feel this was no accident.
“I don’t think someone would accidentally drop off a gun. I think he purposely left it there for a child to pick up and think, ‘Oh it’s a toy gun,’ and accidentally point it at somebody and it goes off,” says Kennedy McClain.

Thankfully it was a highpoint so no children were in any danger.

Probably one of Eric Holder’s people, working a new version of F&F. There are enough Progressive zombies now, full of hate and frustration over the fact that their revolution to take down Western Civ is taking so long in comming, that any one of millions of people (like the Millers) could have done it without specific instructions. Look for more of this in the near future.

I’ve got a dollar that says he’s an anti gun lunatic that put it there because of Shannon Watts’ push to get Target to ban guns.
We’ve got 25 years of “Investigative Journalism” that has shown the only way to defeat the Eddie Eagle program is to put a real gun in with toys.

Alternate Theory: It could have been a “Drop Off” Gun from one Gang Member to another. Look up that rise of Under-Aged “Crews” in Gang Violence.

I don’t think it was meant for anyone to pick up. He was a criminal carrying a gun he was going to shoplift but for some reason got paranoid that he had been spotted and ditched the gun in case the police had been called and he got detained and searched. He possibly was going to return himself or send someone to retrieve it later but it was found first

If he was “ditching” it to be picked up later, by whomever, you’d think he would have concealed it better than sitting on top of a Playskool box. Of course, given the demographic, I’m somewhat skeptical he’s in with moms demanding hot action; I’d expect something more like the pajama boy demo to do that.
Most likely he’s just that stupid, but maybe the promise of some white MILF action swayed him, and I’d bet some of those chicks would go; they’ve probably all totally tamed their husbands.

<I.“I don’t think someone would accidentally drop off a gun. I think he purposely left it there for a child to pick up and think, ‘Oh it’s a toy gun,’ and accidentally point it at somebody and it goes off,” says Kennedy McClain.
Kennedy McClain is identified in other reports as “a shopper”.
So, Some Random Dude’s theory is it was deliberate.
Because a kid will totally think that 2 pound Hi-Point is a toy, because it’s made of bright colored plastic, right?
Sounds a lot more like an accidental drop by an idiot, or an illegal carrier getting spooked.
