Comatus, one should never explain the joke, nor nitpick it with mere facts, even though you are of course correct. Except that I thought the bags were linen, not silk.
from wiki:
A maximum charge consists of six silk bags, each filled with 110 pounds of propellant, for the Iowa class guns.
~6 tons of powder/broadside!
Considering the material Phipps uses, if used in a real gun, they might be considered non-ejecting, as the case might be consumed during combustion. Then again, it would probably just gum up the chamber with the residue.
Would be neat to have five or six joined with a full moon clip, as the base for a glass top table. Proper caliber markings required, of course!

Of course I’m Being That Guy, but I’m pretty sure those big naval rifles loaded via silk powder bags.
Anybody know the dividing line? 5-inch calibre 38 had shells, but don’t know if I’ve ever seen a 12. So to speak.
